On either side of the central door we find a set of statues. In contrast, the Holy Family, the work of J-Fr. Deckers, sculptor born in Antwerp in 1835 and died in 1916. In 1864 he obtained the “Prix de Rome”. The Church of Saint Joseph had been the seat of an important archconfraternity of the Holy Family since 1863, which at its fiftieth anniversary had more than 3,700 associates.
